I did it! Gave my cupcakes a try. (I wasn't the only one....Chelsey & MrP also taste tested for me). I'll need to make another batch because I think they're going to be a smash hit! Very moist and refreshing. At least in my opinion, which is all that counts at this moment.
When I titled this post, I wasn't talking about my upcoming 10K on Sunday - it's already a given that I'll be running behind the pack! I was talking about this card that I created for a certain friend who has been dealing with far too much stress lately (because I love her to bits). I made the card because I love her to bits...she's not too stressed because I love her to bits. Geesh. Do I make any sense today?! I should just stop talking.
I used the Bellarific Friday Sketch and can't wait to give this week's sketch a try. Yeah - I was a little behind the ball to get this sketch done, but I also wanted to give it to the recipient before she saw it while checking out the rubbish =)
So this was the sketch:
And my interpretation:
Stamps: Bubble Bella, Sweet Little Sentiments
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa, Purely Pomegranate, Berry Bliss DSP
Ink: Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, SU! Markers
Accessories: Nestabilities, Curvy Square Punch
Head over to the Stamping Bella Blog for this week's sketch challenge!
Speaking about being behind the eightball, I may as well show you the Weekend Sketch Challenge #88 card that I completed. Jenn Balcer hosted this week and had a great sketch, which could be used for a scrapbook page or a card. I wanted to try to use up some 'leftovers' and this is how it turned out.
The Sketch:
And my card:
Stamps: Pun Fun
Paper: Pink Passion, Lavender Lace, Old Olive
Ink: Pink Passion, Lavender Lace, Old Olive, Basic Black
Accessories: Nestabilities, Paper Primas, Very Vanilla Ribbon
I'll definitely be checking out the weekend sketch challenges more often!
I love The Pioneer Woman!
A while back, Ree had a contest that featured a "What's your fave recipe" comment section - and ended up with over 5,000 posts. It was a great resource for all things tasty (and some terrifying in the amount of pure goodness - aka butter - that were featured). If you ask MrP, he'd just tell you "Butter makes it better". And that's why we go to the gym =)
Anyways, she opened up a new foodie community! Check it out! Or check out her website to find out more details!
great cards! thanks for visiting my blog on the TE hop today! I used to live in the Bay Area (recognize the Golden Gate bridge on your banner). I love the Pioneer Woman too - I just made her 4th of July potato salad on Monday night.
