AnniVERVEsary Sketches

First of all, Auntie Kathy, if you're reading this.....STOP NOW! Or be warned that you're about to see your birthday gift (well, part of it anyways)!

The two cards I want to share today were part of the AnniVERVEsary sketches in celebration of Verve's Second year of business. It's hard to believe it's been that short of a time since Julee started up this amazing company because their stamps (especially the sentiments) are out of this world. If you aren't already a frequenter of Julee's blog, head over here - she's amazing, has the world's best sponging and every day I wish to be like Julee!

Stamps: All Year Cheer I

Wanna know what else I learned yesterday?

I need a better method of taking pictures. I've prepared MrP for a visit to Michael's in search of an OTTLite. I'm hoping this will help for days like today when it's raining and I can't get my creations outside to take natural light pictures. My desk lamp has a daylight bulb, but it's not nearly enough and my stuff always seems to be so dark & dingy. Maybe it's just the photographer!?!

Off to hopefully survive my first 10K in almost a month. LOL Fingers crossed! Mild complication - I forgot to pick up my race package, so let's hope someone can help me out this morning.

  1. Wonderful cards! Isnt' the OTTlite a great tool for picture taking? I use it when I'm scrapping anything. It just gives off better light. Mine's huge! The neighbors say they have light in their rooms lol

  2. What gorgeous cards! The colours you chose look really good together. Love those Verve stamps and sketches!

Just a thought on the OTT. (I found Michaels to be seriously overpriced on this product) Two other possible sources - Costco, they don't always have it in stock but got mine way cheaper there...and Office Depot carries them and often has them for less money. If you are going to spend crazy money - go to a photo store and buy or build a light box. Costs almost as much as the Ott at Michaels but will give very satisfactory results.
Hope you don't think I'm butting in - just a couple of suggestions . Have a great day.

  7. Thanks for visiting my blog too! The OTT lite makes all the diffence in the world to me. You see the "right" colors under that light when I'm making a card or quilling. If you're using it just for photos though you should just get a light box. But I always have mine on when I'm crafting.
