Breaking out the Sept KI Kit from TE for a sketch

For Taylor's sketch this week (TESC87), I decided to open up my Taylored Expressions September Key Ingredients Kit and use up some paper & accessories. All supplies are from it, with the exception of the Verve stamp and Really Rust Ink & paper..

This paper is a challenge for me because it's not something I would usually be drawn to, but the kit makes it so easy with ribbons, bling, buttons, etc.

The sketches always use blue & red so I'm having to try really hard not to use up some summer picnic paper for every Taylored Expressions sketch. Love 'em!

The women's show yesterday was a great time (and I'll think of my mom every time I have some of my new X-rated Fusion Liqueur since she bought us each a bottle of this pink fabulousness). It was a mix of the usual (independent home business consultants like Mary Kay, SU!, Tupperware, etc) and the unsual (firefighter's calendar with cuties to sign your fave month, Bedouin Beats belly dancers) and even had an amazing Canadian acappella group, Hoja, who were outstanding! Maybe the best part of the day, though? Meeting up with a high school friend that lives here in Edmonton, but that I haven't seen since graduation. We're going to try meeting up for coffee (hot chocolate for me!) and I'm looking forward to it.

Have a great Sunday. I'm off to cheer - the teams I've got my fingers crossed for aren't doing what I need 'em to do, so it's hardcore time! Plus, I'm not really feeling the cardmaking mojo today, so I'll take a break and get back at it later. Ever have those days?

Be sure to come back tomorrow because I am excited to share my "Anything But a Card" with you =)

Yesterday I made a five hour round trip to my blogging friends house to craft all day when I got back it was really late last night so this morning when I opened yesterdays mail I got a lovely surprise thank you so much, I have been poorly today (I only have a cold but am feeling a little down) but your parcel really really cheered me up so much and was so unexpected thank you, you have such a kind heart xxxoooxxx

  2. Hi Tanny! Beau-ti-ful card :) I love the ric rac and how you mixed the DP - awesome job! I wanted to say thanks for leaving me comments - a friendly blogger just told me that it was really hard for her to leave a comment because of the layout. So thanks for working so hard to leave me comments, especially when it would have been a heck of a lot easier not to:) Should be fixed now :)
