And I'm hosting this week's challenge - a birthday card! But not just any birthday card - a kids birthday card for my nephew's sixth birthday. I can't believe he's growing so quickly!
I've had this great SU! Designer Paper for quite and feel like in the new year, I need to use up my collection rather than just add to it, so this is my third card of the year using up some of my papers.
I used the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge 314 as inspiration for a starting point and never looked back! See what the other Sisters created over at the Sisterhood of Crafters and show us your best kids birthday card!
Papers: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Ruby Red (Real Red because I have almost no Ruby Red left)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Ruby Red, Real Red, Barely Banana
Accessories: Button, Ribbon, Bling, Paper Piercer, Stickles, Liquid Pearls
So cute and I love the bright colors for a kids card! You always rock a sketch!
ReplyDeleteso fun!! That paper is perfect for a kid's birthday :) Lovin' the cupcakes with sprinkles ;) Thanks for the link to Pantone...LOVE that pink!! Bring it on!! LOL has the snow stopped? We had some last night, but nothing like you guys....we have a bit more coming, but nothing that would keep me home for a snow day :( Vancouver got hit hard and I think the schools are closed there...need to check with Marisa :)
ReplyDeleteGreat color combo and I love the sprinkles on the cupcakes and your ribbon treatment is fabulous. Darling card.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of you as I was shovelling WET snow this morning! I'm not a morning exerciser by nature, so this sure got my blood running! Shovelfest has moved to White Rock and I am definitely celebrating LOL! Got about 8 inches overnight so the kids are beyond thrilled. PERFECT snowman making snow, that's for sure! Gotta run and get the kids to school. Have a great day :)
