For My Valentine

Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #55 looked like a perfect place to start with my anniversary card. Apparently I have no concept of sizing, but whatever - I needed the large circle for the image and I think it worked, so there =)

I used Wild Wasabi and Elegant Eggplant (although I can never get that darn eggplant to show up properly in photos - it always looks really dark - or brown!)

Anyways, I think I managed to get it done without MrP seeing it, so here's hoping it's a nice surprise for our night out.

  1. Ths is just adorable.. Love the green and brown together..Cute little image..
    Hugs, Linda

  2. so lovely!! he's sure to like it...and no gorilla!! I have a hard time with eggplant too..even the ink comes out looking like black...tricky colour, but I love it with so many other colours. Have a lovely evening out...is it for Valentines?

  3. The eggplant is one of my favorite S. Up colors and a great choice to use on this card with the green for the hubby since he is a guy...lol! I like that you went with out using the traditonal red like I would have...Way to go thinking outside the box!

  4. This is adorable, love that image and the size!

  5. What a nice colour combo! I'm sure he will love it. Enjoy your evening out, whatever night it is :D

  6. I'm sure Mr. P will love it! It's awesome - love what you've done with the sketch. How fantastic are these colors together?!?!
By the way, never mentioned this before but can I tell you how much I love that you call your hubby Mr. P? It makes me smile every time. I may start referring to my DH as Mr. M! It's just so much fun!!!

  7. I love the big circle - it's perfect with the adorable mail box. Beautiful job with the sketch!!
