It's Your Birthday!

This card started out as a birthday card for MrP, but turned into something far too girly =) I just love the scarlett jewel & wild wasabi combination.
I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 71 for the layout and it was my first attempt at the 'valance' look that my friend Andrea has mastered so well with the buttons on the loops.

Stamps: Verve One Person, Verve Big Wish
Paper: PTI Scarlett Jewel, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Scallop Punch, White Buttons, Wild Wasabi Ribbon, Nestabilities

Another night of bootcamp tonight! Yahoo! Had a fabulous first riding lesson back last night and I'm looking forward to getting my butt kicked tonight.

Oh yeah - and we added another adventure to our NYC trip in September - we purchased tickets for Saturday, September 11th's 11:00 tennis match. We're thinking it'll be the men's semi finals, but whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be entertaining from the cheap seats! =)

  1. Hi Tanis,
Wow, what an elegant looking card! I love the color combo and those scallops with the button embellishments are fab :)

Awesome about the tennis tickets too! Sporting events are so fun in real life and will be a great memory from the vacation!

  2. Oh, you used the swirl circle!!! I've been looking at it, but not too inspired until now :) I love that other stamps fit into it :) Gorgeous scalloped border...love the big ones!! Thanks for letting me step in if, God forbid, Mr. P can't go!! LOL EEK!!! Although it sounds he will be going no matter what!! LOL Your trip sounds fabulous :)

  3. That is a great colour combo. I like your use of dies and border punch and I love the clean crispness of everything including the wonderful stamping.

  4. Absolutely love this Tanny!! Great colour combo and the scallops with the buttons are great! How FUN to be able to a tennis match! You guys are going to have a fabulous trip - can't wait to hear all about it :D
